Actor in House of 1000 Corpses, Intolerable Cruelty, The Jefferson's. Irwin Keyes has appeared in over 50 films and television shows and has gained cult status with his long, varied, and award winning career in Film, Television, and Commercials. His experience began with minor roles in movies like “THE PRIZEFIGHTER,” “THE PRIVATE EYES,” and the great action clasic “THE WARRIORS.” He even had a small part in the original “FRIDAY THE 13th.” Perhaps his most memorable role, however, was as Hugo on the nations #1 TV show of the day, “THE JEFFERSON'S." Along the way his career has included numerous National and International commercials, top SuperBowl spots, corporate ads, and of course a Clio/Monte Carlo award winners! In 2003 he is commended on his performance in the Coen Brothers Comedy smash hit “INTOLERABLE CRUELTY,” where he does a comedic death scene as the asthmatic hit man Wheezy Joe. Critics worldwide have singled this performance out as the funniest scene in film. In this year, he is also remembered for his action sequences in Rob Zombie's “HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES.” Mr. Keyes has a resume filled with many Horror genre characters, Western Gunslingers, Gangsters, Cavemen, TruckDrivers and all sorts of “unusual” acting parts. When not acting he is a successful painter of impressionist watercolors and a writer.
