The What, When, & Where of Realms Con

Hello, my name is Matthew Allen and I am the convention director for the Realms Con Anime & Video Game Convention that is held annually in Corpus Christi, TX. Along with Daniel Velasquez, the convention president, we host the longest consecutive running anime convention in South Texas.

Realms Con takes place over 3 days and brings together Anime, Manga, and Video Game fans to celebrate the joy that each of these interests brings to our lives. Convention attendees are able to watch Anime videos, participate in fun interactive games, see live concerts, compete in Video Game Tournaments, and interact with industry guests as well as other convention attendees.

For a complete list of all the activities convention attendees can participate in please explore this web site. Realms Con is now entering its 6th year and we would very much like to have you join us this year on October 1-3, 2010 at the American Bank Center.

As promised, the web site has been updated with new information for all you Realms Con faithful to digest.

First and foremost, the incredibly talented folks that comprise Concept Galaxy will be returning to Realms Con this year. Feedback on the live entertainment they provided for Realms Con 2009 was overwhelmingly positive and the Realms Con Staff is very excited to see what Concept Galaxy has in store for the convention this year.

Realms Con is now sponsoring an anime club in Corpus Christi and it has been named Anime-Niaxe by its first 20 - 30 members. The club has only had 3 meetings so far and is currently meeting the first Thursday of every month with the next meeting taking place on March 4. Membership to the club is currently free and open to the public with the only requirement being that you like anime of course. Naysayers need not apply and shall be burned by the fires of our passion for "all that Japanese crap".
