The What, When, & Where of Realms Con

Hello, my name is Matthew Allen and I am the convention director for the Realms Con Anime & Video Game Convention that is held annually in Corpus Christi, TX. Along with Daniel Velasquez, the convention president, we host the longest consecutive running anime convention in South Texas.

Realms Con takes place over 3 days and brings together Anime, Manga, and Video Game fans to celebrate the joy that each of these interests brings to our lives. Convention attendees are able to watch Anime videos, participate in fun interactive games, see live concerts, compete in Video Game Tournaments, and interact with industry guests as well as other convention attendees.

For a complete list of all the activities convention attendees can participate in please explore this web site. Realms Con is now entering its 6th year and we would very much like to have you join us this year on October 1-3, 2010 at the American Bank Center.

Chris Holm Chrislea Murray

Winning artists for the 2009 Realms Con Badge Art Contest.

Chris Holm

Chris Holm is a San Antonio local who dabbles in comics and enjoys some Anime. He can always find humor in anything and everything.

Chris got his first big break doing a web comic for Running with Scissors and was invited to the developers studio for a behind the scenes look at the Postal franchise. He continues to draw web comics and comment on video game culture on the J2games.com gaming web site.

Chrislea Murray

Chrislea Murray has wanted to be an artist since she was three years old. When she was 14, her high school art teacher gave her a box of watercolor paints and told her to hold onto them, just in case she ever decided to use them. She didn't touch them until she was 21, and she hasn't put them down since.

Her paintings have been on display in The Asian Cultures Museum of South Texas and The Art Gallery of Corpus Christi, as well as a brief feature on a morning news show in Japan.

Chrislea loves knitting and listening to vintage radio. She is learning to cook and sew, but thinks she is much better at drawing food and clothing than making it.
